That dances were not Russian. The dance group is Ossetian (from Caucasus) and the boy is Chechen. Those dances are originated from the martial arts of their ancestors showing the caracter and competitive spirit of those nations. (Don't they remind you the River Dance?).
That's why Ossets, Dagestanies and Chachens always dominate at the Russian nationals as well as at the world stage too.
